I wanted to write to you and express my profound appreciation for your wines. I always look for your "vom Stein" wines here in the United States and buy up as many as I can lay hands on! But yesterday I enjoyed what is probably the greatest white wine I have ever tasted (and I taste a lot of wines being a dedicated collector) - your "Steiner Hund" from the 2004 vintage. This wine combines the mystery of a Bruckner adagio with the crystalline beauty of a great mathematical theorem. In fact, it is so miraculously good that I can hardly find words to describe it.

Let me only say that I am grateful that there are still artists like you who craft such profound creations.
